HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY SITE,

To be a videographer is to see the world through the subject’s eyes and experiences, and I have relished the ability to live another’s life for a day.

My work began in print journalism as a reporter and photographer at age 17 with The Saline Courier. I attended college at the University of Missouri. There, I received a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Storytelling - Video Production and minored in Journalism.

After college, I returned home to serve my community as a news videographer and editor for KARK and KLRT. I walk into every environment with the purpose of capturing the big and small moments that are dependent on telling a good story.

I follow the rule, “Make it happen.” After a deadly shootout at a bonfire, I knocked on doors for an hour until I found someone who connected me with the events organizer for an interview. We spoke in the lingering smoke.

Journalism is filled with hard days – I have cried with mothers hours after losing their children, located a downed airplane in rural rice fields with no more instructions than, “12.5 miles southeast of Marianna,” and stood up for my rights as a journalist against Arkansas State Police at the scene of a mass shooting. I do this because it’s what I love – from maintaining the equipment to the follow-through of the final polishing edits.

My work received a mid-America Emmy in 2024 for Reflections: The Day Arkansas Stood Still and I am nominated for an award from the Society of Professional Journalists for Carry to Term

I am currently continuing my work as an independent journalist in Los Angeles, California.
